This Privacy Policy explains how Untamed | Inês Pereira de Carvalho ("Untamed", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit untamed.world (the "site") or communicate with us.

We are committed to handling your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. What data do we collect

We collect personal data in the following situations:

When you visit the site
Our website host automatically collects technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited and timestamps. This is standard for any website and is used to operate the site securely.

When you join our waitlist, newsletter or contact us
We collect the information you provide directly, including your name, email address and any message content.

Through cookies and analytics
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

4. Why we use your data and on what legal basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To operate and secure the site: technical data is processed based on our legitimate interest (Art. 31 revDSG / Art. 6(1) (f) GDPR) in providing a functioning, secure website.

  • To respond to your enquiries: when you contact us, we use your data to reply and follow up. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and legitimate interest.

  • To manage the waitlist, newsletter and send updates about Untamed: we use your email to send you the communications you signed up for. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

  • To analyse site usage: aggregated and pseudonymised analytics help us improve content and structure. Legal basis: your consent where required, otherwise our legitimate interest.

  • To comply with legal obligations: for example, record-keeping requirements under Swiss law.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, including:

  • Squarespace, Inc. (website hosting, form processing, email campaigns and analytics)- based in the United States, with data processing covered by appropriate safeguards.

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics)- based in the United States. Analytics data is pseudonymised where possible.

We may also disclose your data where required by law, court order or to protect our legal rights.

6. International data transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on recognised legal safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses or the Swiss equivalents. 7. Cookies and tracking

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies: required for the site to function (for example, security and session management). These are always active.

  • Analytics cookies: Squarespace analytics, Google Analytics and similar help us understand how visitors use the site and how we can better serve them. These are set only with your consent where required by law.

8. Third-party embeds

The site may include content from third-party services (for example, YouTube videos, Instagram or LinkedIn feeds or booking widgets such as Calendly). We load third-party embeds only where necessary and, where possible, use privacy-enhanced options. If you do not wish to share data with these providers, avoid interacting with the embedded content or decline non-essential cookies in our banner.

9. How long we keep your data

  • Waitlist and newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

  • Contact form submissions: retained for as long as needed to respond and to document the exchange, typically up to 3 years.

  • Technical and analytics data: retained for a limited period consistent with the service provider's settings (generally up to 26 months for Google Analytics).

  • Data we are legally required to keep: retained for the period required by Swiss law (for example, 10 years for accounting records).

10. How we protect your data

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Your rights

Under Swiss revDSG and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")

  • Restrict or object to certain processing

  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)

  • Receive your data in a portable format (GDPR only)

  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority- in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch), in the EU, your local data protection authority

12. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version takes effect when posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
